10 Foods I'll Never Buy From the Store Again...
Over the years of constant experimentation in the kitchen, I've attempted to make lots of different foods from scratch. Some stick into my home cooking arsenal and some end up not being worth the effort and I end up just buying them from the store. This video breaks down the 10 foods I make from scratch that have become a staple in my diet that I wont be buying again!

5 Random Things I Prep to Survive the Week
Hi, does the cooking process allow you to flip the steak during the browning phase to get even browning top and bottom? Or would interrupting to cooking process to flip the steak bugger up the process?
Ice crystals are due to crystalisation of water particles. You can prevent that by things like: - Sweetend condensed milk - Significant amounts of sugar, preferably sugars with shorter chains (hence the high sugar content in commercial icecream) - Xanthan gum - Other emulsifiers like egg yolk - Powdered milk Pretty failsafe is a custard base, with a das of xanthan gum
Couldn’t you use a blender for this?
Great to see these older videos and how far youve come!!
Jesus never ate pork, its forbidden plus its dirty
My issue is salt, with family members needing to cut back. So ,salt is an almost prohibited seasoning
Perfection. Secrets are better shared. It's a beautiful thing from beautiful people. Anyway, sometimes secrets are nothing without the perfect execution and following the steps exactly. Thank you!
Great video. Seems like a week passed by from start to finish (sour)though 😊
That smoked egg reminds me of onsen eggs - eggs cooked super slowly in the hot water of onsen
I've been making my own broth for years, made mead a few times, don't have much garden space but my tomatoes are doing well, so I'm happy lol. I normally just use whatever bones I have around to make the broth, mostly chicken thighs cause they go on sale and the skin makes for good chicken bacon/chips and adds to the chicken/bacon/butter/whatever I throw in it grease. I NEED to make the ginger beer Desperately. I think I'm gonna set aside a few pots and grow some ginger this year cause I Need to have that in my life lol, and what better eay the first time around than from home grown?
I'm not opposed to Hello Fresh necessarily, but isn't that like $15 per serving based on your experience. That's like restaurant prices... I think it might be good occasionally but too much Hello Fresh would definitely break our budget...
I bet you buy onions again. Just sayin
That is all real life with feeding a family! Great reminders that sometimes you just need to get food on the table.
wow bro, hella impressed.
love the videos but struggling to watch with the background music, can’t be doing with it, your voice is enough 👍🏻
Is silicone Carcinogenic?
Helpful
hamoun expert yes
It your momey bro
Pro II 5.8-Quart Smart Air Fryer so i can move my messy chicken tikka recipe from the stove to the air fryer in my new apartment!!!!!
We buy Ginger Beer near every night. Definitely going to try this recipe. It looked pretty easy 🤘🏽
Level up your brewing and you can make vodka to go with vanilla beans for real vanilla flavoring. Heavy char split oak strips, put them in a bottle with your vodka and in (weeks*volume/wood surface area ... ish) you can have four year bourbon in three months. Or just buy that big jug of vodka on the bottom shelf.
Pork belly in the air fryer is the best way I've ever had it and I've had A LOT
Are you sure it’s non alcoholic ? I mean, it’s literally the principle of fermentation 😅
Omg i need this ❤
................And how many dl is a "cup"?
Government doesn't like people being self-sustaining. Government loves it when you buy over and over for the economy and taxes rather than being self-sustaining.
Hey brother, went to look for the Rohan SS Dish rack and the link is broke on your website. Just takes you to affiliates page.
i stopped watching at you chopping off that tree
Made this soup last night! So, so delicious, thanks very much.
Thanks!
pro home cook! 😂🤣 very nice bullshit 👍
"It's a quesadilla taco" 😆 What's funny is that in Mexico you can literally make a taco out of clothes. Okay, it's metaphorical, but still, the term taco is more overarching and takes precedence over quesadilla. I've had potato tacos before, like just mashed potatoes rolled into a tortilla and fried, it was delicious, but not what an American would consider a taco.
Gorgeous! Fun! And the MAYO!
Yeah that defiantly tasted bad😭
For example u plant garlic and I plant 🍋. We share it
We should never pay for food period. We all should be able to plant our own and share it with each others and vice versa.
Why would pasteurisation kill the kefir grains?
Love your videos. Thank you! I have a question. I live in NC and I have one area of my yard we have been discarding all our leaves and yard trimmings for the last 6-7 years. We started tossing our veggie scraps and spent grains (my husband brews beer and meads and ciders). The pile has spread and is to a very large area but it is quite shaded most of the day. I have thought about trying to mulch it where it is and build box style raised garden right where it sits just mix soil. My question is, what would grow well there in mostly shade? And what else should I add to the dirt compost mulch?
No no no. You’ve just dirtied two bowls. Instead, use one, the metal one, cover the kernels in oil at the bottom, and put that on the stove with tin foil on top and some holes poked in it for the steam. Use tongs to rock the bowl back and forth. Every single kernel will pop with absolutely none burnt, and the bowl you’ve used to cook it in doubles as the one you serve it in.
In japan our chicken thighs never come with the bone and also always have the skin. Old bay 🤮🤮🤮
Yeah that looks like garbage
Because you can grow and harvest them every few weeks instead of every other season. So it is better to grow your own than to purchase gas-ripened versions at the grocery store or supermarket.
Question… when i add all the polish and flour, water etc together and put it in the counter and nead it together how long does this take? I did it for 15 mins and it just sticks to the counter… i trued an extra 15 and it’s stuck! I add oil leave it for 15mins and it’s still sticky.. what am i doing wrong?
My 10 year old son is OBSESSED with your shrimp tostadas ! Thank you for your work!
nice background music choice 😉
Stop planting s*** from the store and buy the correct products from a reputable source if you want to grow your own food correctly
if you're trying to make coca cola omg at least add cinnamon and vanilla LOL its the main flavours (on top of citric acid) that you missed >.<
I leave you to enjoy..ot foe me..but absolutely no way a person even starting can get any imagination if you’re getting little packets of sour cream. And all the stupid stuff to sniff open. There’s no joy in that. Yikes. Oh well. Maybe I should just shut up and go to sleep. Sorry about that, but enjoy.
Looks boring. I’m sorry. I can come up with better than that just opening my refrigerator thinking about what would I like to do with what I am looking at.
